Pierre scored his first podium of the year at Zandvoort in the Netherlands with a fine third place.
After an impressive recovery from twelfth to third place in mixed conditions.
During a race marked by rain, numerous stops and a red flag with six laps to go, Pierre kept his cool to secure his first podium with the team and the fourth of his F1 career.
Fourth on the restart, Pierre clung on to Sergio Perez's Red Bull right up to the finish line to inherit third place after the Mexican was given a five-second penalty for speeding in the pit lane.
Pierre Gasly - Start: 12th / Finish: 3rd "What a race! It feels really good to be on the podium in Zandvoort and the whole team deserves it. I feel that we deserved this result after our season so far, which has been full of ups and downs. It was a crazy race, with so much action and so many difficult choices to be made, but everything went well: from the decision-making to the strategy and the stops, everything was very well executed. Unfortunately we had a five-second penalty for speeding in the pit lane, but in the end it didn't matter as our pace was solid enough to go in search of a good result. The conditions complicated the last few laps, but we managed it very well. Thanks to the whole team for this podium. Let's keep working hard for next weekend at Monza, where I have some great memories!
